Mary Hansen, D.O.

Medical Director

Dr. Mary Hansen is an Internal Medicine physician with a strong background in treating mental health conditions, and a deep commitment to providing individualized care. After graduating from the Edward Via Virginia
College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), she served as an active-duty physician in the U.S. Navy. She worked in numerous inpatient and outpatient settings while on active duty where she observed that interdisciplinary and integrative settings provide the best care. At the conclusion of her active duty service, Dr. Hansen moved back to South West Virginia to provide primary care services to the community that became home to her as a medical student.

Her interest in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) began as she searched for better tools to help individuals affected by trauma. The medical evidence that KAP can provide relief from severe mental health conditions motivated her to get involved. She is resolute in following best practices for patient evaluation, intake and risk mitigation. She takes great joy in creating a nurturing and supportive clinical environment where patients feel comfortable and respected.
